Timeline

1865: Lincoln was the president at the time, Civil War was happening and the North won.
1865-1880: Reconstruction,states got back together after the Civil War
1865-1880: 13th,14th,15th Amendment ....



  • 13th Amendment = abolishes slavery

  • the 14th Amendment = no states can take away our right

  • the 15th Amendment = has the right to vote
1865-1965: Jim Crow South - Jim Crow Laws did not like the the 13th 14th 15th amendment and wanted black and white to be separated.
1896: Plessy Vs.Ferguson- is a supreme court about separate but equal.This case made separate but equal illegal
1950-1970: Civil Rigth Movement-This is the time when many people stated to fright for there right
1963: Chriden March-this took place Birmingham Alabama

After 1964 they was still probles with the civil right but they ae not so big.
